Problem
The client wanted to integrate into the Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System’s services (NIP Inward and Outward, NQR Payment, E-Mandate and BVN). The business goal was to enable a suite of financial features planned to ease transactions and provide direct debit payment solutions. In addition, NIBSS had upgraded their old Direct Debit service to a new platform and actively encouraged existing clients to migrate to the updated system.
Our Approach
We set out to integrate our refined NIBSS-in-a-box solution, designed to help achieve speedy integration to all required NIBSS services.
We adopted our custom strategic approach that involved breaking down deliverables into achievable milestones, gathering requirements and setting up a test environment. Our NIBSS-in-a-box service was deployed to the client's environment, enabling connection to NIBSS’ services and exposing APIs for integration with their core financial application.
The next stage was leveraging our excellent relationship with NIBSS team, working closely with them to ease the integration process and achieve speedy User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with them, a compulsory step to ensure connectivity and functionality between parties. We achieved this in record time, which is our value proposition in this offering. After successful testing, we handed over the completed solution to the client and worked with them to deploy this to their production environment.
This enabled OnePipe to perform live transactions and powered their Direct Debit solution offering, which was tested with live transactions successfully. It opened up a unique opportunity for them to provide this service to their clients' businesses.
